Masterful Massage by Michael

This guy is really good. I was visiting for Texas and was surprised to meet such a based and friendly man in Portland. He gives a great deep tissue massage. I do a lot of CrossFit and he was able to address everything in a way that was competent and very relaxing . I’ll definitely be back!!!

I noticed hot stone on michael's list of services and had heard good things. I must say it was probably the most relaxing experience of my life! I felt like melting butter and caught myself drooling twice.

Michael is a very skilled therapist and has a beautiful space. So many health plants and he even has a water feature, hot towels and just walking down hall to bathroom and back to main massage room.. Was like a journey of lush aromatherapy, art, etc. He must buy candles in bulk as really felt like I'd stumbled into some private spa sanctuary.

Some of the guys on here really don't emphasize the actual massage or spa setting .. to each their own.. but if you are looking for a top shelf experience and are focused on a great massage I cannot recommend this guy enough

I’m a returning client and wanted to compliment the recent addition of both hot stones and hot towels. Simple things but wow what a heavenly sensation. Despite being a massage therapist for over 20 years it’s amazing feeling such a commitment to ongoing upgrades. I also noticed a new fountain which added a nice layer of white noise. I literally drifted off and briefly forgot where I was till a hot towel brought me back to blissful reality. I’ll definitely keep making appointments.

I’d been having nausea and vertigo on and off for years and had heard craniosacral was helpful. Though a lot different that the massage techniques I’m familiar with found he was actually able to help and that the sensation went away for several weeks after last session.

This guy is great and on a whole other level compared yo most local options!! Thank you so much !!

I’m a triathlete and came to Michael before a race. He was very knowledgeable about sports massage and did a great session to mobilize and work my muscles and get me ready. Not only was it a great massage but I wasn’t sore at all and ended up doing great. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this guy to anyone trying to get the most out of their body. Very charming and funny guy with a beautiful, private space. Used some hot towels too which just felt amazing . A+ and five star!!

Was in town for holidays visiting family. Got stressful and decided to text michael to see if I could get a massage. He responded quickly and after a brief back and forth set an appointment for later that day.

His place was easy to find. Sweet old building with lots of character and big plants. Nice setting, very private.

His place smelled incredible and there were more plants and nice music playing on good speakers.

He asked a few questions about my massage needs and then went to wash his hands as I got on table. Was delighted to find table heated and smelled faintly of oranges.

He returned and gave me one of best massages of my life. Forgot all about my stress and felt like I was floating on a cloud!

I left feeling great and will definitely return whenever I’m in town. Great guy with truly magical hands and a very warm, charming presence. The guy is funny too! Highly recommended!!

By far the best massage I’ve ever had! I ended up going three days in a row and Michael was able to get my shoulder, which had been hurting for months, to fully let go! I was amazed and glad I’ve found my regular massage guy! Was quick to respond and his space is beautiful and full of plants. Probably most comfortable table I’ve ever been on too! Definitely reach out to this guy!!! So grateful

I’m beyond pleased with my time with michael. At first I thought it strange that he was so inquisitive about me and my needs. He is definitely someone who wants you happy and takes time to be sure he is correct fit for you.

His place is in a historic building in Irvington by my favorite frozen yogurt shop and visiting it was fun. Lots of charm and his space is huge and private and smells incredible. Lots of plants and great music and candles.. felt like my own private spa!

His work is the perfect balance between therapeutic and relaxing. His touch definitely feels soothing and capable. He makes it clear the focus is massage but also didn’t feel afraid to touch me and definitely got deep in areas in my hips I’ve never felt so thoroughly worked. I think I caught myself so relaxed I was drooling at one point!!

Beyond his techniques, he checked in about pressure and comfort enough for me to realize he’s after perfection.

I haven’t had such a great massage in years and the end part left me in a dreamy state pretty melted into table and just blissed out. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

I'll start by saying the years of experience working on in massage is immediately apparent once you get on the table. Michael is attentive, intuitive and skilled. His approach is therapeutic yet soothing. He takes his time to focus on every part of the body. Great stretching techniques as well. Calming ambience with light music, perfect lighting and plants thriving everywhere. I've been a client for a couple years now and will continue to support his gift.
