Overview

I offer grounded, responsive massage therapy for people seeking relief from muscular tension, greater mobility, support for recovery or a chance to slow down and reconnect with their bodies.

My approach combines the strong, precise hands of a longtime rock climber, the attunement of a contact improvisation dancer and the body knowledge of a movement practitioner.

I do not follow a fixed routine. We begin by discussing your goals, injuries, boundaries, desired pressure and what would help you feel comfortable.More I work slowly and attentively, noticing changes in breath, structure, guarding and tolerance.

Strong bodywork does not have to be forceful. Precision and patience can give the body space to soften and move with greater ease.

My practice explicitly welcomes gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other LGBT clients. I maintain a respectful, non-discriminatory environment for adults of every sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age and body type. Every session is professional, collaborative and guided by clear consent.

I offer appointments in my Emeryville studio, a chiropractic office in Oakland and limited mobile sessions nearby.
