I've been to Sam several times over the last year and a half, and I'm long overdue with writing him a review. When I first came to him, I had never had a 2-hour massage before...a practice he said that he adopted in Thailand. That first time I remember being overwhelmed with how much time and energy he gives. He said that he likes the long sessions because it gives a chance to massage at a relaxed pace so that nothing feels rushed. And he uses a mixture of several techniques, like Swedish, deep tissue, Chinese and Thai. I especially like his foot massage, his work on the lower back and glutes, and his scalp massage. Pure luxury! Too many masseurs and masseuses skip those areas. One thing's for sure, Sam's never on auto-pilot. He's always 100% focused and very intuitive.
I also want to mention his very fair pricing. He charges less for a 2-hour massage than many masseurs charge for a 1-hour massage! By the way, Sam worked for many years on cruise ships and experienced massage in different parts of the world. It really shows in his work. A 5-star experience!

A Wonderful Experience.

Based on Sam's reviews, location and price, I definitely wanted to give him a try. And I was so glad I did. It wasn't just a massage, it was an experience. It was like he had devoted the whole evening to me. Very personalized. He's in a upscale high-rise apartment building right by the theater district, and his apartment is perfectly set up. The massage table was the centerpiece. And between the candlelight and perfect drifting away music, the atmosphere couldn't have been better...even an evening view that included the Hudson River.
When I arrived, he allowed plenty of time for me to get settled. And we had a little bit of enjoyable conversation. Once I was on the massage table, he asked about what kind of pressure I liked, if I had any injuries or surgeries, and if the temperature was good. He covers all the bases. The massage itself was 2 hours of bliss, both very therapeutic and very relaxing. Good strong pressure where it was needed. He even devoted extra time to the feet, face, scalp and glutes, which a lot of masseurs either skim over or skip. He really has great intuition and years of experience. I think he said that he's been doing massage professionally for 31 years. This was my first 2-hour massage, and now I realize the benefits.
After the massage, we chatted some more and he was in no hurry. I never felt rushed. All together, I think I was there for a little over 2 and 1/2 hours. And the added bonus was the discount he gives for the first session, just $110 for the 2-hour massage. That's unheard of! I also like that he works in the evenings after dark. It adds to the calmness to see the nighttime view of the city lights and the river. I will be back!

A very gifted and dedicated massage therapist! What caught my eye about Sam's ad was his 2-hour massage and the fact that it was deep tissue. I prefer a strong massage, and the idea of getting a 2-hour appointment seemed like a perfect combination. Sam lives up to his ad completely. He's in a great location, has a clean and relaxing candlelit atmosphere, and massages non-stop for two hours. His price can't be beat either. His apartment is in a quality high-rise building and has a balcony that looks out to the Hudson River. That also adds to the atmosphere. Check out Sam and book a session. I strongly recommend him!

Great price, great quality, and a super guy! Most of the massages I've had over the years have been one hour or an hour & a half. But when I read that this massage was 2 hours long and only $125, I wanted to give it a try. When I talked to Sam, I found out that he gives a discount to new clients. So this massage was only $110. And I loved the whole experience. First of all, Sam is a really nice and sincere guy. He really cares about people and about his work. And add that to the fact that his massage was very comprehensive and loaded with technique and intuition. He was gentle in the areas that needed it, and went extra strong in the areas that needed digging into. He really took his time and even worked on my feet. Magic hands! He uses an extra comfortable massage table, and he's also easy to talk to. I live on West 48th Street, and he's right in my neighborhood, and in a nice building on a well-traveled street. But, it's up high enough so there was no street noise. Another bonus is that he works late hours. It's a wonderful way to end the night.

SUPER experience with Sam!! I just found my new favorite massage guy! Unfortunately for me, he lives in New York City and I live in Alabama. He was recently visiting here and was referred by a mutual friend. I wish he lived here because I would get massages from him regularly.

When I called Sam, I asked what the price was for a 1-hour massage. He said he focuses mostly on 2-hour massages, but he also does a 90-minute version as an option. I decided to go with the 2-hour massage, and I didn't regret it. It was the first 2-hour massage I've ever had, and I'm sold. Not only did the extra time make the massage more relaxing, but also very thorough. His technique, which is nice and strong, is unlike anything I've experienced in the past, and he seems to work as much with intuition as he does with actual technique. My massage totally felt tailor-made.

If you want a great massage, at a VERY fair price, and a masseur that sincerely cares about his work, give Sam a call. He's amazing.

To quote an often-used phrase, Sam is the "Real Deal"! I've searched for a long time to find a legitimate massage therapist who does long sessions, is focused, thorough, intuitive, caring, in a good location and affordable. It's a VERY difficult combination to find. But, Sam is all of that! With his two-hour massage, he took his time on every area, feeling out the body and searching for problem areas and muscle tension. But, even though he used deep pressure on those areas, the massage was SO relaxing. It shows that he really loves his work. And, he made me feel like royalty. The bonus is that he's in an easy part of the city (just off the Broadway district), has nighttime hours, and has the best rates around. Even though he's normally $125 for his two-hour massage, he gave me his discount for new clients for $110. For two hours!! Check him out. He's a really nice guy, he has a VERY comfortable massage table and linens, and he creates a feeling of escape from the city's chaos. If he would promise me a massage every day, I would marry him!

Better then two Percocet! What a wonderful experience! And, yes, a massage with Sam IS an experience. When I arrived, he gave me plenty of time to get settled, use the bathroom, and get situated on the massage table. He made sure that the temperature was comfortable for me, and asked about the kind of pressure I like...as well as discussing my tension areas. After that, I was given a full two hours of detailed massage...from head to toe...strong in the areas that needed it and even some good stretching. Sam included two things that a lot of masseurs skim over...a thorough foot massage and a scalp massage. I love both! From the time I arrived to the time I left, I was actually there about two and a half hours. Also, Sam has a first-time discount, which is a nice touch. When his amazing massage was finished, he told me to lay still for a few minutes and to take my time. That was good, because when I finally sat up on the table, I was a bit lightheaded...just a feeling of floating, like drifting away on a private beach. When I got home, I slept like a rock and had wonderfully peaceful dreams! Thank you Sam. You and your massage are the best!

I saw Sam on the weekly Masseurfinder.com specials email and he was so close that I decided I could use a long massage at such a good price. What luxury to have that much time. He had the Available Now banner on and he was able to fit me in immediately because I was lucky enough to call with just enough time before his late evening client. He's clearly quite experienced and talented, and his apt was lovely and nicely lit for the massage experience. The massage itself: great touch, deep but he pulled back the pressure a bit on my sensitive areas on request, nice to know he can adjust to the client (some can't!) Very attentive, observant, and professional. I fully enjoyed the massage, the conversation, and getting the whole two hours! Yes I will go back...even his regular price is a bargain. Very hard to get even HALF the time at his price in Manhattan.

A wonderful experience! Sam returned my phone call right away and was very comfortable to talk to on the phone...describing the massage and answering my questions. I booked the 2-hour session because I had never experienced a massage that long before. Besides, the price was great for the longer session.

Sam's building was so easy to find, since he's only four blocks from Times Square. Convenience means a lot to me. And, it's a doorman building, which was comforting as well. The atmosphere was totally relaxing. His apartment is very homey and inviting. And, the table is extra cushioned. He told me that he also has a fleece padding under the sheet. I just melted into the table.

The massage was incredible from beginning to end. Sam asked me some questions at the beginning, which was a good sign of individual attention and caring: 1. Did I have any injuries or surgeries that he needed to be careful of? 2. What level of pressure do I like? 3. Were there any problem areas that needed extra work?

Since Sam uses a massage cream instead of oil, I didn't feel messy...as I do with oil massages. And, the attention to detail that he gives is the best. He's very thorough, very strong when needed, and is very intuitive. He focused a lot on my shoulders and back, which are my main areas of tension. But, he also spent ample time on my feet, face and scalp. A lot of massage therapists don't do that. Now I see the benefit of the longer sessions. One of the best parts of the experience is that I never felt rushed. Sam gives extra time for preparation and lingering at the end. I was actually there almost two and a half hours. It was $125, plus tip, well spent!

Excellent massage and I left feeling great - and eager to see Sam again. His location is easy to get to and he has a comfortable table with dim lighting (entirely lit by candles) and soft music. Talk about relaxing. Sam is a warm and friendly fellow who welcomed me in, offered water and chatted a bit and was eager to know problem areas and the sort of pressure I wanted. He certainly was listening because I got the deep pressure I asked for and he found sore spots that I wasn't even aware I had. He was very focused and his is a serious massage that worked out the knots, stretched me and relaxed me. I could not imagine a better experience. He is no clock watcher and took his time. Afterwards we chatted a bit and again, no rushing. In short...a terrific massage, well worth the cost (his price for a 2-hour massage is unbeatable), in a safe and convenient location with a friendly and highly skilled guy. Does it get any better? I am looking forward to seeing Sam again - soon!

Everything about Sam and his massage was PERFECT! From the initial contact through getting to his apartment was easy. A great guy.... A great apartment. A setting. From the minute you walk in you begin to relax.
His massage was amazing. The man knew exactly how much pressure and when to use it. I am a big muscle bear-type guy and he worked very hard getting the knots and kinks on back. He intuitively knew exactly what to do, and when he was done with that he turned me over and took at least another 30-40 minutes working on my front. Hands and feet, scalp, neck and did a lot of stretching. OMG!!!
I don't know why this guy isn't sold out through the end of the year. Don't hesitate to contact Sam if you want a really great massage! And his rates are ridiculously affordable. Again, WOW and thank you for an amazing bodywork experience.

BEST. MASSAGE.

Sam was so friendly! He greeted me with kindness and offered me a glass of water. Before the massage, he made sure that I was comfortable and asked about if I had any where that he needed to pay special attention to, I said neck and lower back. Then he asked about the pressure as well.

Anyways, back to the massage. The two hours were so relaxing and I believe it ran a little bit over! He is definitely not a clock watcher. Sometimes you get a massage and you say "not a single muscle was missed" however, for Sam, not a SINGLE TENDON was missed! He really worked out knots and kinks that were in my back, but also there was so much care and love for his art. It is very evident in that.

The massage was not just any massage but really was like an escape from New York city! It was amazing, relaxing, and physically and spiritually relaxing!

I think he charges WAY too little for the QUALITY he provides. I would pay 125 PER HOUR but he was really gracious, saying that he offers a good product for a good price. I say he is wrong. He offers an AMAZING product with an AMAZING price!

Please do not hesitate to contact Sam! He really is amazing!
