Massage by Ken

This was the first of many massages I hope to schedule with Ken. I needed a ‘real’ massage and Ken’s massage was perfect. It was very easy to set up the appointment and he was quite flexible with that. When I arrived, he greeted me professionally and kindly. I had some shoulder pain from sleeping on a mediocre mattress followed by 10 hours of driving. After discussing my needs Ken went to work and found the areas that needed attention. He was very gentle, yet strong, and knew just how much pressure to apply in each area. Ken was also very respectful and only worked in areas that I agreed to at the level I asked for. For me, the sign of a great massage is to feel relief right away and a little bit of pain the next day. That let me know the massage worked on some muscles that needed some serious work – it was good pain. By the end of the next day, I was totally back to awesome. This was my second massage from Ken. It was short notice and he squeezed me into his schedule. Ken's studio is quiet, comfortable and serene. He takes a few moments to assess your needs and then gets right to work. I have been traveling in the car a lot, and my lower back was in need of attention. Ken has an intuitive touch and all of the other spots I had no idea were there he detected and they melted away. Massage is an important part of my self care for both physical and mental health.
