Therapeutic Massage by Michael

I don't often write reviews, but I believe Mike deserves your consideration. I was referred to Mike by a close friend of mine who has been a client of his for years … It was not long before I understood why. Mike’s bungalow studio is very well decorated, spotless, comfortable, aromatic, with just the right amount of light (and Central A/C). My experience was easy, effortless communication beforehand, clear directions, private parking, prompt and warm welcome. His training and professionalism are evident from the start. I felt smooth, organic movements with just the right amount of pressure (he checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable) and blissful moments when I nearly lapsed off into reverie, but invigorating pulsations when it was time for the Thai portion. I love when a masseur stretches my body, and Mike gently put me through my paces, not shying away from the "rrr" in "stretch." The massage was awesome and the last 24 hours since it was over still have my body in euphoric mode. Very polite, handsome guy. As the cliche goes, he is far more handsome than his pictures indicate, but he's a sweet guy too. You can't go wrong. I told him that the one word that came to my mind for his touch was "finesse." So this was my first massage therapy session with Mike and it certainly won’t be my last. I am a pretty active guy, and it has been difficult to find someone with true expertise, intuition and professionalism. Beyond the intuitive ability to stretch and lengthen many trouble areas, he provided an incredible Thai Massage on a HUGE heated table. He spent the entire time engaged and worked with me in such a way that made me realize that this guy is gifted - I booked 3 more appointments. After the massage, I told him that I had not had this kind of body work since I lived in Minneapolis many years ago. San Diego finally has someone that I trust in an environment that made me feel safe, welcomed and completely relaxed. In the days following my massage I felt flexible, pain-free and euphoric. I feel like my mind, spirit and body got a hard restart. His bungalow is so cool too … beautifully decorated, private, quiet and has parking - which is a huge plus in a crowded neighborhood like north park. I cannot recommend him enough! -Richard S.

I had been searching so long for someone who could give a phenomenal massage without forgetting the details that make such a huge difference. Mike's studio is always so warm and the smell of essential oils immediately calms me down. He plays the perfect music and always has dim lights with lots of candles. The heated table feels so good, I melt into it the second I lay down. Mike's energy can be felt right away. His technique is like a meditation, massage and yoga session in one. Its a unique style and always leaves me feeling recharged and stress-free. I have been coming to Mike once a month for a little over a year now. I very highly recommend him.

I have been searching for the perfect massage in San Diego and I've finally found it. Michael's technique was thorough, relaxing and intuitive. His slow and steady pace allowed me to really sink into his heated table and take in deep breaths of his aromatherapy. The pressure was perfect and the stretching was exactly what I needed to ease the tense muscles I get from sitting at a desk all day. Michael's studio is beautifully decorated with candles and spa music. He's also a very talented artist (his paintings were in a nearby room). I cannot recommend Michael enough. I have been coming twice a month since I found him. Well worth every penny!

Mike's massage was exactly what I needed after running an endurance race. He was mindful of areas of sensitivity/tightness and his technique had me feeling better than ever after months of getting race-ready. Will absolutely make his massage a regular part of my training regimen for future races.

This was perhaps one of the best massages I have had in quite some time. I have a very high stress job and the whole experience for me was terrific. The technique, lighting and overall ambiance is great. I loved the aroma therapy. The table and comfort was a real plus. This was my first visit and it was just what the doctor ordered. The Thai technique he uses is wonderful. There is no doubt I will be back.

Mike is an amazing masseur! His place is spotless and has one of the most relaxing atmospheres with soft lit candles, a warming massage table and tranquil music playing. He uses the perfect amount of pressure during the massage and ended with Thai stretching. Would HIGHLY recommend him, especially if you are looking for relaxation or relief from tired muscles.

I have been a regular client for several years now. You go back to the people you trust to do an incredible and professional massage. Mike has amazing skills and has incorporated new Massage techniques he has learned over the years. I have had several injuries and he has worked with me to aid me in my recovery. He’s very knowledgeable and a great guy to boot. Highly recommended!
