I always look forward to going to Stephen for a massage. Parking is right at his place. He has the room at a comfortable temperature and will adjust it so you are comfortable. He warms the oils he uses. Before he begins he asks if there is an area that needs attention and checks in with you during the massage to see if you want his pressure adjusted. After he massages your feet he blots them with a towel. He offers you water at the end of the massage to rehydrate you. He thinks of everything to make you feel pampered.
His massage feels absolutely wonderful - It’s very relaxing and rejuvenating!
I’ll be back and I recommend that you go to him for a massage!

THANKFUL FOR STEPHEN'S OUTSTANDING MASSAGE EXPERIENCE!

When planning our recent Palm Springs vacation, we wanted to include massage as part of that vacation. We researched various Websites, therapists, massage profiles and the reviews. We both agreed on Stephen, a great choice we made!

We both have some orthopedic issues. My husband has neck issues and I have extensive lower back issues. Stephen asked questions to understand our situation, determined the proper massage approach, and the level of pressure.

We each scheduled a 90 minute massage with an hour in between. Stephen explained the process, made certain that we were comfortable, and asked many times how the massage pressure and our comfort level was.

Stephen utilized various massage and stretching techniques to address our problem areas, focusing much attention on needed areas! And at the same time, assured that we received a full body massage of pain relief and relaxation.

My husband and I compared massage comments afterward, both agreeing what a phenomenal massage we received. Stephen is absolutely talented and made sure that he customized his massage technique to us as individual massage clients. Outstanding!

From the time of our initial contact, to the day of the massage, Stephen was prompt, friendly, and detailed. We will definitely seek out Stephen on future trips the Palm Springs, as well as, to recommend his massage to others!

Every couple of years, the tension I carry in my neck and shoulders tips over into chronic pain. This time around, I had developed a crick that was limiting my range of motion and affecting my sleep. Usually it takes a couple trips to the chiropractor to clean up the mess. A friend suggested I try Stephen, and get a full body massage in the bargain! He spent a good half hour of the massage methodically working out the kinks in my shoulders, neck and upper back (apparently one of his specialties). That night I slept very well, and by the next morning the pain was gone. Stephen is unusually skilled, coming at the muscles from various angles with complex and detailed manipulations, unlike any other massage I've had. Not to mention he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet. I'm looking forward to becoming one of his regulars.

Simply put, Stephen gave me the best massage I’ve ever received. My search is over! He has a friendly and open presence that lifted my spirits and put me at ease right away. He was attentive to the temperature in the room, the pressure I wanted (deep … but not too deep), and areas I asked him to focus on (lower back, neck and feet), using techniques that were new to me and felt amazing. He worked muscles I didn’t even know I had. I always tell massage therapists that I love to be stretched out as if I’m on a rack, and Stephen answered this request far better than any other therapist I’ve been to, requiring considerable effort. After the massage, I felt a wonderful warm tingle in my entire body for hours, and my body was notably more relaxed and limber for days. Stephen is particularly intuitive, with a deep understanding of the mind/body connection - I left feeling much calmer than when I walked in. I feel lucky to have found such an exceptionally talented masseur in Palm Springs.

As an active and working senior, I tend to keep stress in my back, shoulders and neck.
Unlike many masseurs I have tried, Stephen is not hesitant to truly work problem areas; I am aware that this takes considerable effort on his part and I greatly appreciate his professional bodywork.
He is one of few masseurs that I have met who is able to give me more than temporary relief in my problem areas. He keys into tight and tense places and applies sufficient pressure to alleviate the aches and pains.
Stephen is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. His home studio is immaculate, complete with professional table and warming mattress. Often I find studios to be too cool, his is warm and inviting.
I am a highly satisfied customer who returns to Steve as often as my budget permits.

There are only two reasons that I write a review or recommendation for any business or service entity. Either the service is extremely bad or the service is above and beyond my expectations going in.
I have to start by saying that Desert Renewal falls into the latter category.
After having thirteen spinal cord surgeries over a 10 year period, I have been more than challenged with extreme edema of my calves, ankles and feet.
When I found Desert Renewal, my expectations were as they have always been in the past with massage therapy that I would get a good massage and that would be the end of it.
First and foremost, unlike any other massage therapist that I have worked with in the past 20 years you took the time to actually discuss with me the issues that I have and what areas I would like addressed as well as what I expected from the massage therapy session. Upon arriving for my first session a short discussion occurred to confirm the problem areas we had discussed that I have and then my 90 minute session began.
The atmosphere and surroundings are inviting, quiet and calming.
Your technique of therapeutic massage is beyond any that I have experienced and in my opinion the best that I have ever received.
Now this is the part that is truly amazing to me as well as my doctor, and has kept me coming back for your services ever since. Within a matter of hours after my massage, both of my legs, feet and ankles actually resembled the extremities of my healthy normal self from before all of my extensive surgeries. I had no signs of edema and was able to wear a normal pair of shoes without discomfort. These results actually remained for a full three weeks. After coming to Desert Renewal for regular massage appointments I am extremely happy to say that I have not suffered the debilitating swelling recurrence, my physician is as amazed and as happy as I am.
I am a loyal client and will remain so, as I no longer have the uncomfortable swelling of my legs, ankles and feet and the only change in my activities to account for the change has been receiving your massage therapy.
