I first saw Tetsu for massage 20 years ago or so in Palm Springs for massage and I’ve been a client ever since whether I lived in LA, Palm Springs or now Santa Barbara. He gives an amazing massage but it’s so much more than that - it’s all the things I love - energy work, aromatherapy, stretching, crystals, sound healing, deep tissue. He is truly a healer and I always say I am seeing “my healer” when I talk about Tetsu. He gifted and has wonderful energy which leaves me feeling so peaceful and returned to center every time.

Tetsu is a reiki master. If you haven’t experienced good reiki before, this massage could blow your mind. Mixed with excellent deep tissue and a great playlist, this is truly one of the best massages you can get in LA. I’ve had about 6 massages with Tetsu and am impressed each time. I found Tetsu through a friend nearly 20 years ago and he has been a constant mainstay in my self care ever since . I moved from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara a decade ago and would continue to utilize Tetsu’s mastery when work called me back to LA, but as my life became more rooted in Santa Barbara I approached Tetsu about coming up to Santa Barbara to massage both myself and my husband. I was elated that he agreed. Lucky for me, he fell in love with SB and now he makes regular trips up the coast. Tetsu is a true healer, a shaman, an intuitive master. I wholeheartedly recommend Tetsu.

A session with Tetsu is amazing all around - from the easy (permit) parking and his smiling welcome through the session to the final hug and departure.
His studio is on a quiet street with ample parking - he greets you and hands you a temporary parking permit.
He welcomes you into his beautiful quiet/calming craftsman style studio - already set up and waiting for you.
He leaves the room to allow you a moment to get settled on the very comfortable table.
He will ask you about the temperature of the room - hot or cold - he rings the gong and the session begins.
I float away and let him take over - gently/firmly locating knots and tension in my body and carefully - not painfully - working it out.
He does a good job of stretching during the session so it is a well rounded and thorough massage session.
At the conclusion of the massage, he allows a few minutes for you to just remain laying on the table to further relax and enjoy the moment.
He then rings the gong and helps you sit up and gather your thoughts.
I can honestly say you will not regret booking a session with him.

Tetsu’s massage is a combination of muscle work, energy work, and re-alignment. I highly recommend it! This is no formulaic massage that he does over and over again. He is very strong & intuitive and seems to have an uncanny ability to find and work on trouble spots. Often places I didn’t even realize were sore. Tetsu does a low soothing chant in Japanese while massaging you that pulls into a beautiful state of relaxation. Best massage ever! I highly recommend the 2 hour session.

What an amazing and wonderful experience. The massage was well worth the drive from Long Beach. The combination with the Reiki took it to a higher level . I felt great afterwards. Totally recommend Tetsu. Very welcoming and a great sense of peace.

Tetsu offers a healing, deep, intuitive massage. Beginning with a brief rundown of any issues that may be going on, through to a massage which can only be described as a journey. I love the combo healing and deep tissue that he offers. Each time I have stepped off the table realizing how much I needed the work. He is now my "go to" guy with regard to massage.
