Location: Every Saturday I rent a beautiful, private massage room with a pro massage table in Union Square (right by the L, Q, N, R, 4, 5, 6), and I'm available for deep tissue massages there all day. Every other day of the week, I'm available for in-calls at my apartment in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, or can travel out.
I specialize in deep tissue massage, and at the same time I am also master of a much lighter touch. My approach to massage combines very deep pressure, when desired, with slow myofascial warming, which aims to warm the connective tissues of the body with very slow, relaxing strokes. Listening to the tissue as it warms, my hands gently follow subtle movements, gliding slowly to warm the areas carrying tension. By applying this patiently warming touch, the body begins to let go of its tension.
With slow warming strokes across the back, the limbs, the scalp, the face, and with very slow, gliding strokes warming your skin, your muscle tissues will be awakened even as your body is lulled into deep relaxation. I will adjust pressure as needed and as desired, integrating deep, therapeutic pressure, or remaining gently and soothingly at the skin's surface.
Myofascial release is a relatively new form of therapy, but you can feel the power of this technique immediately. Combined with Swedish effleurage techniques, it opens up your joints, relieves chronic tension, and quiets the body into a very profound trance of complete relaxation.
I am a 30-something gay male living in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. I also rent a massage room in Union Square every Saturday. I graduated from Cortiva Institute in Hoboken for massage therapy. I'm also an artist and a graduate student who studies British literature.
