I’m a LGBT-friendly bodyworker, trainer, and therapist with expertise in neuromuscular stretch and trigger point release massage techniques. I have a medical background which includes neuroscience and human physiology, and as a rock climber, yogi, and competitive athlete, I have lots of experience with what muscles need to stay healthy and performing at their peak.

Athletes and travelers love my attention on therapeutic massage and stretch-work guaranteed to leave you feeling recovered, paying special focus to loosen tight shoulders... and hips. You will especially LOVE the lower body work I do as my favorite part of the body to massage are glutes and hamstrings.

TEXT me for fastest response! If I don't respond right away, that usually means I'm with a client and will respond within 1-2 hours during normal business hours.

I have enjoyed four professional massages from Mark, both in Palm Springs and Los Angeles. For me, massage is an escape from the day-to-day demands of my career, and offers me one of the few opportunities I have in my busy life for nurturing touch. Mark is an educated, well-groomed and extremely fit man with a winning personality and a natural talent for his craft. His appointments start on time and are not rushed. He uses a high-quality coconut lotion, crisp, freshly laundered linens, and an extremely comfortable massage table. He greets me each time with a warm smile and a hug, asks me how I’ve been and how my body feels, and actually listens to my response before starting the massage. Mark is a strong man – you feel what he is doing to you — yet it’s never too much. I enjoy a long session – usually two hours – and Mark actually prefers longer sessions. He can go the entire two hours without showing any signs of fatigue. I’ve also enjoyed getting to know Mark. He is a great conversationalist if I’m in the mood to talk, he has an eclectic group of interests he’s happy to talk about. But sometimes silence is golden, and Mark is happy to work away quietly as I almost doze off in response to his nurturing touch. I look forward to seeing Mark again soon and you will be doing yourself a favor if you see him too.

Mark is far more than your routine massage therapist. He is a holistic mind, body, spirit guru that helped me to cure a serious lower back issue with intuitive massage, meditation, and listening to my muscles in order to understand where I was carrying grief and pain. I would highly recommend Mark if you are looking for somebody to help you establish routines that supplement his massage and “cure” your muscle and spirit related injuries.

Mark's therapeutic massage helped me to walk again!!

Many people boast on their ads that they offer therapeutic massages, which usually just consist of uninformed and sporadic touching. Mark's massage is the real deal. I was looking for a massage that would help alleviate the pain and discomfort I was having in my left leg due to a nerve condition that left me in excruciating pain for the two weeks prior to your visit. Pain medicine didn't help and I was unable to sleep or sit in any position. In fact, three days prior to your visit, I became completely unable to lift, move, or feel my toes.

Mark traveled a great distance to see me - and with very little description on my part about what the problem was, he found every nerve and jumbled muscle and worked each with minimal pain and total satisfaction.

Mark's therapy was so impactful, in fact, it prompted me to seek a second opinion from different doctor, and I’m now on the path to full recovery. Mark started me on that journey!

Mark, Thank you so much for your expertise in this area, and thank you so much for your patience and willingness to come visit me. Just like an old-time home doctor visit! You are very kind. Thank you!

I've visited Mark three times now and it gets better each time. If you're looking for a great therapeutic massage, look no further. His years of rock climbing experience show through in his strong hands -- unlike many masseurs, he's able to do the deeper work with his hands instead of his elbows. As a runner, I really appreciate his thorough approach to working on my glutes and hamstrings. He spends more time than other masseurs there and really knows how to get those muscles recovered from a tough workout. You'll get off his table feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and glad you scheduled a session. His location in the Arts District location downtown is right next to the 10 Freeway so it's a snap to get there from almost anywhere in LA. Street parking is easy and his apartment is tastefully decorated. Mark is also friendly, easy to talk to, and has a lot of interests outside of massage. If you're lucky, you may get to hear some of the musical tracks he's done as a DJ during your session. I highly recommend 90 minutes with him.

Mark gives an extremely high quality massage. He is able to zero in on all the right trigger points, even a couple I wasn’t aware needed attention. He has a rare healing touch, and is able to massage deeply without pain, because he’s so knowledgeable about anatomy. I’ve been three times so far, and look forward to more. Book with him while you can.

Mark's massage skills are first class. He clearly knows a lot about the human body and cares deeply about what he is doing. I felt like he was really in tune with what was bothering me and did his best to alleviate any issues I was having. His touch was absolutely magical. I was able to completely relax with Mark as he made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Secondly, the set up at his apartment provided complete privacy, and there was also a nice breeze throughout my session. I was swept away for my two hours with him, and I didn’t really want it to end. Mark provides the perfect balance of strength and gentleness, which is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thirdly, Mark is just a sweet guy. He seemed generally interested in my life and was more than willing to share things about his with me.
