After the massage, the only thing I could say to Phoenix is that it was a beautiful session. You can tell that he knows what he is doing and brings you to such a Zen place that you find yourself drifting off. I didn't want to fall asleep because I didn't want to miss anything.
Booking the appointment was very easy, communicating was great and when I met him, he gives off a very gentle and kind demeanor which but me immediately at ease.
The massage is spectacularly relaxing. My only (and I mean only) negative would be that at times I wish it would have been a little deeper tissue. As a relaxation massage -- its unbeatable.

I thought to title this review “The Zen of Massage,” with Phoenix as a Zen master. His technique is unique and includes some aspect of Rolfing. But most notable is the continuous fluid line that he draws from one extremity of the body to the other. Watching his feet, I saw that there was a type of choreography in his movement around the table, as if he had studied modern ballet. In addition to being a rock climber, he is also an abstract painter; and there was a type of “brush stroke” that he was doing with his hands on muscles, knots and tight spots. The total effect was most enjoyable, meditative and dreamy. His studio has a Zen sparseness, extremely clean and tidy. There was cold water and, at the end, warm moist towels to remove the massage oil. At first I was concerned about his rates, but having experience Phoenix’s technique I realize that it was well worth it.

Receiving a massage from Phoenix was one of the more pleasant experiences I have had... He has a way of incorporating sensational massage techniques into his thoughtful orchestration of delivering complete relaxation. I truly loved his ability to create a "continuous flow" effect leaving nothing out throughout the entire session.

Always a wonderful experience! He is consistently thoughtful, on-time, prepared and thorough in his massages. He's also very easy to talk to, and makes you comfortable.

I have had a stressful week and just needed to relax. Phoenix provided a great massage. Very friendly and professional all around nice guy. I needed a nap when he was done. Most relaxing massage I've ever had.
