My massage technique combines elements from Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release styles to provide a relaxing and therapeutic massage. Using long and fluid strokes to warm the body and open up the muscles, I begin working in targeted areas to release tension and the patterns that are being held. I believe in the importance of full body massage and try to educate clients on the benefits. are full of connections, from our feet to our head; opening up all of those pathways allows your muscles to relax and to release long-held tension, giving you a deeper sense of relaxation and ease.
I use either coconut oil or gel as a lubricant, I have my own table and drape using sheets. Any level of pressure from light to deep can be accommodated. I only offer professional therapeutic/relaxation massages. I charge what I feel is fair for my services and do not expect additional gratuity.
I use my knowledge from Yoga to help my approach to massage therapy, which generally means incorporating stretching or range of motion techniques, and sometimes providing stretches to help with muscle tension.
I became a massage therapist because I've always been interested in the healing arts, and after my Yoga teacher training I realized I wanted to do something that was more hands-on. It's never a boring job because each client is a little different and each presents it's own unique opportunity for growth and learning.
