enjoy giving massage because I sincerely believe that bodywork has a positive effect on not only your physical well-being but also your emotional and mental states. As a practitioner, my goal is to help you in a number of ways: to calm and de-clutter your mind so you can relax and unwind, to relieve any tension that your body might be holding, to work through any tightness that might be restricting you, and to encourage the movement of energy throughout your body. All of this is accomplished using a rhythmic, steady and purposeful flow from start to finish.

When it comes to my work, I’m most passionate about Swedish and Shiatsu. I invite you to try both at some point and see which one you like most!

For Swedish, I incorporate long, fluid strokes to help improve blood flow, lifting and kneading movements to free up taut muscles, and tapping and friction to wake up your circulation. I’m very intuitive as I work; if I identify any areas that need specific attention, I will concentrate on those. Before I conclude, I will make sure I have covered everything head to toe and on both sides so you will leave fully balanced. All of this takes place on a heated table with application using either coconut oil or therapeutic massage lotion. Essential oils are available upon request.

For Shiatsu, work is done on a comfy mat on the floor. Sequenced techniques for this modality include lots of stretching of arms and legs, range of motion, and side and back bends. I also apply pressure using the palms of my hands as I follow your body’s 12 energy channels. I spend time on various Acupressure points, helping to relieve everything from neck and shoulder constraint to anxiety. I end each session with gentle movements along your face and scalp and a final balancing that helps ground you.

As for my clientele, I am open to any and everyone, gay, straight or bi-sexual, any age or race, any height or weight. I treat everyone with respect. When you first arrive, I like to spend the first few minutes talking with you about your body, any physical issues you might be experiencing, and what you are expecting to get out of the session. Afterwards, I’m happy to discuss some tips for self-care until our next appointment.

I look forward to having you in my studio and assisting you on your health and wellness path!
